Yes, you heard right I believe the Federal government has to cut spending and do it quickly.

 It seems the sixty four trillion dollar question is what do we cut.

 Here are a few suggestions. Critics will argue that my cuts don’t add up to enough dollars to make a difference. But remember a few million here and a few million there and a couple of billion here and there and pretty soon we’re talking about real money. Just ask someone who is trying to live on Social Security.

 Let’s begin with the extra perks that politicians vote for themselves. Chop them, eliminate them, all of them. These are people who spent millions of dollars to be elected. Let them spend their own money.

Why should the American taxpayer pay for these people to have security details? Why should we pay for a private dining room with world class chefs? Why should their offices be fit for kings? Why should we pay for multiple offices? They can only be in one place at a time. And they are supposed to be in Washington looking out for our interests. Telephones are for calling back home. They don’t need office and staff there.

 Why do senators and congressmen need to take tax payer funded junkets all over the world. Stop worrying about the world and look after Americans.

 Stop sending money to foreign countries that don’t support the United States whole heartedly. Don’t send relief to countries that leave relief supplies languishing in airports until some outrageous extortion is paid to local politicians.

 Stop the mentality of “I’ve been elected to office, now I’m royalty.”

 Like I said this is just a beginning, but at least it’s a beginning.

Every time we as American taxpayers turn around either the government or Wall Street puts the screws to us and sometimes both at the same time.

 The latest shafting comes from Wall Street. We as taxpayers bailed out General Motors. We didn’t ask to do this. it was rammed down our throats. Now that there is going to be an IPO where an investor has an opportunity to make a buck we aren’t allowed into the party.

 Just rich people and hedge funds, the same assholes that fed at the bailout trough. Not the taxpayers who bailed the company out in the first place. I really would like to know when this is done how many politicians and Wall Street schysters make another fortune at the expense of the small investor.

 Things need to change in this country and it’s been proven in the last couple of days that the bastards in Washington and Wall Street are going to continue to screw over the American people.

How can we clean house completely starting at the top and letting it run down hill. Unfortunately I don’t have the answer.

 Maybe there’s an honest man out there who has the answer.

As the election of November second gets smaller in the mirror the more disgusted with politicians I become.

A presidential commission floated some of the ideas of how to bring government spending under control yesterday and the only things they mentioned were the same things that have hurt working class folks. Cut social security and medicare, raise taxes on working people and on and on.

 How about a different perspective. Begin by eliminating the special healthcare and retirement plans that politicians recieve. If they are good enough for us why should they have something better. I don’t know how much this would save and frankly I don’t give a damn. It rankles me to elect some crooked bastard to high office and have him become some kind of royalty like the leaders of Haiti.

 Be honest with the American people for a change. The job market sucks. There aren’t any jobs in meaningful numbers that offer a living wage and benefits. Only part time and minimum wage.

 Be honest about inflation, The price of gas is up, and going higher. Food is up and going higher. The crooks in Washington don’t know this. The lobbyists are paying for theirs, Why do they need a private dining room with world class chefs and linen napkins.

 Why spend the huge amounts of money for obama to travel all over the muslim world bowing and scraping to the people who want to wipe America off the map. If he wants to visit his boyhood home let him do it on his own dime like we have to. All he has to do is hold out his hand and the lobbyists will pay the tab. Don’t make the taxpayers pay.

 Does this sound as if I’m disgusted with the whole thing? I am, but it’s still my country and I love it in spite of the crooked politicians running things.

On November second of this year the citizens of Florida will elect a new governor. It can’t happen a moment too soon.The one we have now is not in the running for the greatest of all time.

 I for one am tired of the constat bombardment of print and television ads. I’m hoping that when the election is over that at least some of the people that are on the state payroll will go back to doing the job they are being paid for. I don’t like seeing cops, sheriffs , and district attorneys touting their candidate for election and demeaning the opponent. We as citizens pay these people to do a job and the job is not campaigning for someone running for governor.

 It seems to me with crime as rampant in a state with high unemployment they wouldn’t need to take on a second job as spokesperson for a candidate.

 During the primary election we had an anemic twenty two percent turnout of voters. Please go to the polls and vote and ask someone to go with you. We need your vote. It’s important.

For the life of me i don’t understand the crap that Wahington puts out on a daily basis. Today they say we have a stronger job market. How can that be? Employment is still dismal, companies aren’t hiring full time employees with benefits. The only hiring is part time and no benefits. Storefronts by the thousands are standing empty where small businesses called it quits.

 Foreclosures are on a record pace month after month, house prices continue to tumble. As each day passes peoples’ net worth decreases.

 In five states on the Gulf of Mexico it’s worse than a recession, oil is continually fouling the beaches and marshes. In Louisiana shrimp fishing revenues are down over fifty percent. BP promised to make the residents who live in the affected area whole. Only one billion out of the promised twenty billion has been disbursed. Most folks haven’t received enough to keep going. Now Obama has given the job of not paying the residents what they deserve to a Boston lawyer who mostly flies around looking important. Typical political insider. He and his buddies will get richer, the poor folks will continue to suffer.

 The Washington politicians have decided we don’t have enough inflation to warrant an increase in social security benefits. Bernacke plans to change that. He plans to make inflation rampant again. Rememeber when we had that under Jimmy Carter another democratic president. Interest rates were above twenty one percent. gasoline went through the roof. Groceries increased every week. We don’t need inflation, we need less government.

 The politicians don’t pump their own gas and watch it increase every week. They don’t buy groceries and watch the packages shrink and the prices increase. Inflation is alive and well and us folks in the trenches feel the noose tighten  every day. Vote the no good bastards out of office. If he or she is a politician they should go!

The primary election has come and gone, We whittled the number of candidates down to a managable number for the November election. The candidates slung mud at each other and spent astronomical amounts of money to try to be elected to the office of governor and senator along with the local offices.

 Yet in Florida the election drew only twenty two percent of the registered voters to the polls. With all the problems our country has only twenty two percent bothered to cast a vote. You could have voted early, you could have voted by absentee ballot yet only a small portion of the electorate voted. As I always told my children if you don’t vote you don’t have a right to bitch.

 But the failure of people to vote goes deeper than that. By not voting you let the special interests who organize blocks of voters and make certain they get to the polls dictate the direction our country will go.

 Before the November general election place your vote. Your opinion should count for something. I know seventy eight percent of the registered voters of Florida are not happy with the way our country is being run.

Four airliners were pirated by radical Muslims. Two were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center causing the deaths of over three thousand people. Another was  flown into the Pentagon causing many more deaths and countless property damage. The fourth was hijacked to fly into the White House in Washington D.C.. It wasn’t succesful because some of the heroic passengers overpowered the cowardly hijackers and the plane crashed into a Pennsylvania field.

 These cowardly acts that killed innocent Americans  were not done by Christians, Baptists, Methodists or any other religion but by a bunch of misguided Muslims. They must believe that if you don’t share their beliefs you should die. That is what they practice.

 Contrary to what Obama tells the world we in the United States are mostly a Christian nation. We’re not Muslim, he seems to be but the majority of Americans are not. For him or anyone else to advocate building a mosque across from the site of the terrorist attack in New York City is wrong. Kill us , then spit on our graves is what he’s saying.

 There comes a time when we should stand up for what’s right and Obama and the Washington crowd long ago forgot how to do that.

How could so many people be taken in by Obama and vote for him to be president of the United States when he obviously despises our country.

After the Florida legislature recessed after less than two hours in Tallahassee yesterday refusing to put the issue of offshore drilling on the November ballot I feel powerless and betrayed.

 After three months of watching the worst environmental disaster in the history of the United States the spineless bastards we elected to serve us betrayed us again. Why did they do this? Because big oil lobbyists control the political process, taxpayers are powerless. the lobbyists pour so much money into the politicians’ accounts that they are simply puppets who do what the lobbyists tell them to.

 Each day I get older I become more cynical about what the politicians at all levels of government say. That’s because when it’s time to do something constructive they do the opposite.

 We have seen countless acres of the Gulf of Mexico polluted. Shorelines and beaches are mired with oil that kills many forms of life whether it swims or flies. Tell all the politicians to not let the drilling in the Gulf continue.

 Tell them that by voting for their opposition. Get rid of the drill baby drill faction. Get rid of Harry Reid who is in the mining lobbys’ pocket. Don’t vote for the career politician, they are beholding to some lobbyist.

Once again the Washiongton D.C. politicians have proven how out of touch with the American electorate they are. The attorney general of the United States has decided to sue Arizona over its new immigration law. What a terrible waste of time and money.

 The majority of the people protesting the new law are illegal immigrants who have slipped across the border with Mexico and started a new life in the United States. Law abiding citizens support Arizonas’ efforts to curb the influx of illegal immigrants. So why is the federal government attempting to take away a states’ right to protect its citizens?

 There are so many problems the government could help solve that it boggles the mind. Why interfere with a law supported by a large majority of citizens?

 Obviously as each day passes it becomes more apparent that we’ve elected the wrong people to govern our country. For some reason they don’t want to work for our interests but their own selfish ones.
