Are you afraid to make reservations in Florida because of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico? There are many great destinations that haven’t been affected by the spill. The Tampa St Petersburg area is still oil free and hopefully will stay that way. Clwarwter, Sarasota and other popular west Gulf coast destinations haven’t been affected.
The Atlantic coast including Daytona Beach, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, and Melborne are great vacation destinations. Further south there’s Ft. Lauderdale, Vero Beach, Miami, and Miami Beach. Further south are the beautiful Florida Keys with a world of activities to enjoy.
The worlds’ most popular destination is Walt Disney World and the on site resorts that have something for everyone in the family. There are the theme parks, championship golf courses, water sports and night time entertainment for the whole family.
Come on down to Florida, There are lots of unspoiled and beautiful beaches to enjoy. There are theme parks. And there’s Cape Canaveral where you can watch one of the last shuttle flights. Make your plans now.
The tide brought our nations’ worst environmental disaster to the Florida beaches today.
It is heartbreaking to witness this tragedy unfold. There have been eleven men killed, never to return to their families. Before the flow of oil is stopped and the head of BP gets his life back there is no telling how many human lives will be ruined.
How many acres of marshland and pristine beaches are ruined for countless generations no one bothers to forecast.
How many birds and animals will die an oil soaked death no one will estimate.
How many fishermen will be put out of business no one knows. How many motels and restaurants will close because tourists won’t come to an oil soaked beach no one knows.
Why shallow water permits to drill in the shallow waters of the Gulf are still issued I don’t know. Obviously if you drill closer to the shore and have a disaster the oil will reach shore sooner.
We as Americans need to tell the politicians in Washington D.C. to stop the lunacy of allowing our precious resourses to be trashed. Stop the drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and get out of bed with the executives of Big Oil.
The oil from the blown up BP rig is still flowing unabated into the Gulf of Mexico. How much is flowing daily no one seems to know. It has now washed up on the beaches and wetlands of Louisiana, Missisippi, Alabama, and Florida.
Obama and the Washington D.C. politicians issued another permit to drill off the coast of Louisiana in spite of no one having a clue how to stop the destruction of our beaches and wetlands. Why in the world would they do that? The only answer is either old fashioned stupidity or old fashioned greed. Either one is wrong for our country. The American people have been subjected to the wrong headed policies of the fools in Washington long enough.
It’s time for change, that’s the slogan that we heard during the last presidential election. We got some change and it was all wrong.
We need to replace the professional politicians and the people who have never had to make a payroll or provide for their families without government handouts. We need to elect people with common sense. We need to elect people who haven’t eaten from the government trough all their lives. Those kind sell out our country every chance they get.

There seems to be little progress in stopping the oil that is fouling the Gulf of Mexico. The well continues to flow. The oil now covers an area larger than five states on the east coast. The bureaucrats and Washington politicians keep making appearances and making promises but in fact little is happening.
This catastrophe has proven to every person who watches and thinks for themselves that offshore drilling is not the way we need to solve our energy needs. BP has proven to the world they have no idea how to stop the flow of oil. No one else does either or they would’ve stepped up and done it. Until failsafe systems are invented and proven offshore drilling should stop. No more debate.
Spend the dollars to develop and supply green technology to the American public. Solar, wind and nuclear should replace the oil that comes from the Gulf.
The marshes of Louisiana are ruined, You can’t clean the oil out of them fast enough to save the plants, birds, and other life forms that live and breed there.
So far the beaches of Florida have been spared. Will this last? Hopefully it will, but once again don’t bet on it.
As the oil relentlessly invades the Louisiana marshes all we hear is BP is not doing enough to stop the flow of oil. That’s not surprising. It should’ve never started. Drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico is a dangerous proposition. There can be no argument about that point. When you sink an oil well over a mile below the surface how can you possibly think you can stop a disaster from happening. Working at those depths means problems with vision, currents and many other unseen obstacles. Now is the time to come to our senses and stop drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Obama and the other big city politicians have made a career of pointing the finger of blame, not solving problems. Obama will simply start another federal agencey in Washington D.C. with a huge budget and they will join the others who do nothing but point fingers.
Meanwhile the marshes are filling with oil that kills wildlife. Fish die. Shellfish die. Shrimp and crabs die. The fishermen who make their living harvesting the seafood are quickly going broke. The Feds fly in and out, point their fingers, hold useless press conferences and go back to Washington and their large plush offices and huge government salaries. You the taxpayer pay for all of the finger pointing and the inaction. Before it’s all said and done you’ll also pay for the cleanup of the marshes and shorelines in the states affected by the oil spill.
Charlotte North Carolina attracted hundres of thousands of visitors theis weekend. There was the truck race on Friday night that didn’t finish until the wee hours of the morning Saturday because of spring rains in the Carolina area. Saturday night the annual All Star race was held. Actually it’s two races, the open where the top two transfer in the All Star event. Martin Truex Jr. won the first race and finished second in the All Star race. That race and the million dollar prize was won by Kurt Bush.

Charlotte North Carolina known as the Queen city and a leader in the banking industry has another monument to be proud of.
President Obama stated in a press conference today that the United States is adding jobs and the economy is picking up. I would like to know where that misguided view comes from. The Florida ecomomy is certainly not improving. More storefronts are empty than ever before. Some shopping centers look like ghost towns. Because of the BP oil spill tourists are cancelling reservation for rooms, fishing trips and amusement parks. That doesn’t sound like an improving economy. the construction industry is non existent. As usual the Washington D.C. politicians are posturing and trying to tell people who can’t afford to make their mortgage payments and buy groceries how great things are. Things are great if you’re eating at the public trough like these idiots we’ve unfortunately sent to Washington. When you have guaranteed salaries and retirement like the politicians everything always looks rosy. Tell these useless lying crooks that we don’t believe their lies any longer. Do it by voting all of them out of office that is possible this year and next and the year after that.
The man who was elected president of the United States proves he doesn’t deserve the highest office in the land daily. He makes jokes about illegal immigrants. He chastises states for taking action on one of the largest problems facing our country. He embraces radical muslims. He bows to muslim kings. He doesn’t believe we’re a Christian nation anymore. He parades the president of Mexico into the White House and encourages the man to belittle the great state of Arizona and the United States. Why doesn’t the president of Mexico embrace the fact that he has problems that need to be addressed at home? If he would do his job we wouldn’t have such an illegal immigrant problem. Why should we as Americans be chastised by such a fouled up country whose largest exports are illegal drugs. Their other export is their murderers, rapists, and other assorted criminals. The people who rallied for change before the election should look closely at Obama and the other liberal politicians who have set our country on a path of destruction. This is the same person who is watching Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida beaches and wetlands being ruined by Big Oils’ recklessness. Yet he still advocates offshore drilling. Something is definitely wrong in Washington D.C. and it starts with the leadership.
Scientists at the University of South Florida and others reported yesterday that the loop current was beginning to pick up oil from the ruptured BP oil well. The loop current is a strong current that goes down the west coast of Florida and turns northward and follows the east coast up the Atlantic seaboard. Millions of gallons of crude oil could possibly spoil coral reefs along the Florida coast and the Florida keys. It could then foul the beaches as far north as the Chesapeake Bay. The environmental and economic damage is impossible to calculate. This spill is quickly becoming the worst in history. If their calculations become a reality the beaches of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia could be fouled. The only thing positive that can come from this catastrophe is that the people of other states will join the citizens of Florida in demanding a stop to the reckless offshore drilling. BP has proven once again oil companies can’t be trusted to keep our environ, ment clean and safe. With over four thousand oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico maximize the production from these wells, don’t drill new ones. Maximize the use of solar power and wind power, don’t continue using fossil fuels that pollute our water and air. Call your politicians and tell them no to more offshore drilling.
